Vermont
“In the state of Vermont, it is illegal for any persons under the age of 18 to get a tattoo or body piercing without the expressed permission of BOTH of their parents, whom will be required to go with you to the shop to have it performed, to fill out all release paperwork, witness the act of it being performed through the entirety of the application, must be present for the aftercare instructions and applicable paperwork, and must bring their state issued IDs as well as a copy of your Birth Certificate,” according to Answer.Com. However, the website added, “With all of these provisions met, the youngest age that any shop in the state will touch you would be 16 years of age, but this is still at the end of the day at the discretion of the shop that you are going to and their willingness to work on a minor, even if you have all of the above.”
