If you are a kid in California and you want some ink, you are out of luck. Tattoos are forbidden for minors under the age of 18 are prohibited.
A person who is old enough under California law must read, complete and sing an informed consent form that shall include information such as a description of the procedure, a statement regarding the permanent nature of body art and other similar items.
Persons perform the body art must be registered with the local enforcement agency. Training standards are set forth in the law as well as the steps to be followed throughout the procedure.
